Easy Chocolate Buttercream Frosting. Add vanilla and blend into the butter. Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating well on medium speed.
Mix until fully combined and the mixture forms almost stiff peaks. It makes a great chocolate filling, frosting, and pipes great too! When melted, cool completely and chill until solid.
Add butter and mix with an electric mixer until crumbly.
Frosting should be light and fluffy and easily spreadable.
If the frosting becomes dry, drizzle the heavy cream in as needed. When melted, cool completely and chill until solid. When all sugar has been mixed in, the frosting will appear dry.
